💰 Earnings & Payments
How do you pay 2× market?
We operate premium orders only and optimize batching/routes. To acquire riders fast, we pay at least 2× typical market rates. In the first month, there is a +50% launch bonus on top.
Is the +50% bonus automatic?
Yes. Once you complete KYC and are added to the launch cohort, your first month payouts include an automatic +50% booster on top of the base 2× rate.
How much can I realistically earn per day?
With 10-15 deliveries per day, riders typically earn ₹1,600–₹4,000/day depending on distance and hours worked. During the first month with the +50% bonus, earnings can reach ₹2,400–₹6,000/day.
When and how do I get paid?
Payments are made weekly via direct bank transfer every Monday for the previous week deliveries. You will receive a detailed payment statement via WhatsApp.
Are there any deductions from my earnings?
No hidden deductions. You keep 100% of your delivery earnings. We do not charge platform fees, subscription costs, or penalties for cancelled orders that are not your fault.
Do I get incentives for completing more deliveries?
Yes! We offer weekly performance bonuses for riders who complete 50+ deliveries per week with high ratings. Top performers also get priority access to high-value orders.
📋 Application & Requirements
What are the requirements to join?
You must be 18+, have a valid driving license, own a vehicle (scooter, motorbike, or car), have a smartphone with internet access, and pass our KYC verification process.
How fast can I start?
Most riders are activated within 24–72 hours after completing KYC verification and onboarding. Once approved, you can start taking orders immediately.
Which cities are you operating in?
We are currently live in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune, and Hyderabad. We are expanding to Chennai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad in the coming months.
Which transport can I use?
Scooter, motorbike, or car are accepted in most cities. In some zones, bicycles are also allowed. You must have valid insurance and registration documents.
Do I need previous delivery experience?
No experience required! We provide full training and support to help you get started. However, experience with other delivery platforms is a plus.

What is KYC and why is it required?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is identity verification required by law. It helps us ensure platform safety and compliance. The process is handled securely by Sumsub, a trusted verification provider.
What documents do I need for KYC?
You'll need a government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, or Driver's License), proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or rental agreement), and a live selfie for identity verification.
How long does KYC verification take?
KYC verification typically completes within 2-24 hours. You'll be notified via WhatsApp once your verification is approved and you can start riding.
Is my data safe with Sumsub?
Absolutely. Sumsub is a leading KYC provider trusted by 2,000+ companies worldwide. All data is encrypted end-to-end and complies with international security standards. We never share your personal information.
📱 App & Operations
Is there an app?
Access to the app is granted only to riders we approve — once your candidate profile is reviewed and accepted, we'll activate your account and onboard you into the private cohort.
How do I receive orders?
Orders are assigned through our rider app. You'll receive push notifications for new orders in your zone. You can accept or decline based on your availability.
Can I choose my working hours?
Yes! You have complete flexibility to work whenever you want. No fixed shifts or minimum hours. Log in when you're available and start accepting orders.
What if I have an issue during delivery?
Our support team is available 24/7 via WhatsApp and in-app chat. We provide immediate assistance for navigation issues, order problems, customer concerns, or emergencies.
Do I need to maintain a delivery bag?
For food orders, you'll need an insulated delivery bag. We provide these at cost price (₹500-800) or you can use your own. It's a one-time investment that keeps food fresh.
🛡️ Insurance & Safety
Do I need vehicle insurance?
Yes, valid vehicle insurance is mandatory. You must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage as per Indian motor vehicle regulations.
Does Ruta provide rider insurance?
Yes! All active riders are covered by our group accidental insurance policy at no cost. This covers medical expenses and compensation in case of accidents during deliveries.
What safety measures are in place?
We have real-time GPS tracking, 24/7 support, emergency SOS button in the app, contactless delivery options, and safety training for all riders. Your safety is our priority.
📄 Contract & Terms
Am I an employee or independent contractor?
You work as an independent contractor, not an employee. This gives you complete flexibility to set your own schedule and work with other platforms simultaneously.
Can I work for other delivery platforms too?
Yes! There's no exclusivity requirement. You're free to work with Swiggy, Zomato, or any other platform alongside Ruta Riders.
Can I stop working anytime?
Absolutely. There's no lock-in period. You can pause or stop accepting orders anytime without penalties. Just complete any orders you've already accepted.
What happens after the first month bonus ends?
After the first month, you continue earning at 2× market rates (no bonus). Your earnings remain significantly higher than standard platforms. We may introduce performance-based bonuses.
